Vizhinjam Rock Cut Cave Temple (Kovalam)

Vizhinjam Rock Cut Cave Temple is located in the Vizhinjam near to the Kovalam junction in Kerala.

The name rock cut cave is due to the shapes and sculpture of the temple. The temple is totally made by the cutting the rock.

All the material in the temple is built from the rock. The god sculpture, the door of the temple and the shapes both sides of the door are totally made by cutting the rock.

The famous temple is well known for the God Shiva and Goddess Parvathi. The door side of the temple is full of decorated and managed by the shapes of Gods, but remaining three sides are the incomplete and rough based.

The main sculpture in the temple is of seats Dakshinamurthi. There is so beautiful nature around the temple that frees you relax after visiting them.

This temple is so famous and historical temple in the Kerala, Almost all the people know about it. The history behind the temple is, it is not discoverable for many of the years from the time of build.
